Five Lessons That Make Money Monthly
If you are looking for an article that will tell you how to make thousands of dollars a month on Medium, this is not that article.
If you are looking for a way to build your income to a few hundred dollars a month without working too many hours, keep reading. If you do not want to read about my experience but want to know what I’ve learned, jump to the last paragraph.
After several failed attempts at blogging, I stumbled upon a video about Medium as a blogging platform. So, on June 7, 2019, I published my first article on Medium. That first article was titled How to Shop for Term Insurance.
As you probably guessed, that article had zero reads in June. It then had three views in both July and August. Over its lifetime, it has had 32 views. And only 17 read the story.
I did not write another story until April 20, 2020. This time, I was a little more committed and wrote six more articles between then and December 31, 2020. Once again, I was focused on insurance products, although I widened the topics I wrote about. For 2020, I earned a whopping $0.90!
I started 2021 with high hopes, but they were quickly dashed when my first two articles received no views. After two articles, I gave up.
